Now that slow wedding season is in full swing, I am busy trying to fill up the new blog on my new site! It’s been a great way to start 2017 – going through all of my amazing weddings and engagements from 2016.
Tonight’s blog is highlighting Ben and Nikole. I’ve actually known these two for quite some time due to a personal friendship I have with Nikole’s sister. But even if I didn’t know them before, they would have still been a breeze to work with. While jokes of Nikole being a bridezilla floated around the morning of her big day, Nikole was actually the farthest from it. And Ben, well, he didn’t say much before the ceremony. This was day was more than 7 years in the making, and both of them knew how big of a deal their promise to each other was going to be.
After the ceremony though, these two love birds were smiling from ear to ear, and both were ready to celebrate with friends and family! Despite being stung by a bee (seriously these things only happen to me!), the portraits went off without a hitch and the entire party was soon on their way to celebrate at La Casa Grande in Beloit.
Amazing sibling speeches, three (or four – I lost count) sets of cake cutting utensils used, bubbles during dancing, and grandma chugging champagne rounded out the fun. What an amazing night. I was so honored to be a part of Ben and Nikole’s big day, and continued to be honored to call them friends!
